A trial was conducted with FHVI in Lithuania in 2023. At the Domeikava Library in Kaunas, a local drilling company under supervision of Henk van Tongeren Water & Techniek drilled four FHVI wells with two pre-treatment facilities, according to a (Aerfit-)Workplan. In this process, the latest technology was used, learning from previous trials in the Netherlands and Germany. The aim is to infiltrate the large amount of water flowing off the building’s roof.
Lithuania places high demands on the quality of the water to be infiltrated. Therefore, extra attention is being paid to the pre-treatment facilities.
The first results are promising: after heavy rainfall, the FHVIs managed to infiltrate all the water. Due to the early onset of winter, objective measurements were not yet possible, but are planned for spring 2024.
