Layman’s Report Aerfit

A Layman’s Report on the Aerfit project was released in late 2023. In the Layman’s report, we explain in understandable language what Aerfit entails. For example, we explain why new methods for rainwater drainage are needed, of which our FHVI (Fast High Volume Infiltration) is an interesting example.

The most suitable method must be considered per site. We also explain that FHVI was originally designed in Germany for construction sites where rising water is drained to a deeper aquifer.

But FHVI also turns out to be very effective for infiltration of large quantities of rainwater. However, this does require a pre-treatment facility, which was also designed as part of this project. This a simple system where the water is passed through 1 cubic metre of sand and soil, filtering out pollution. The sand-gravel mixture is easily replaceable.
